Contact lenses
A contact lens exam is more than an eye exam: the doctor also measures your eye and fits a lens to it. We give you trial lenses, teach you to put them in and take them out, and check how they feel after you wear them. Your prescription is yours once the fitting is complete.

The fitting can take more than one visit. Ask us what to expect for your eyes.
Contact lenses start with a full exam of your eyes.
We measure the shape of the front of your eye, so the lens sits well.
You try a pair, and we teach you to put them in, take them out and care for them.
You come back after you have worn them for a while, and we check the fit and your eyes.
A contact lens fitting is billed apart from the eye exam. We tell you each fee before it starts.
Some vision plans cover part of the fitting. We check yours before the visit.
If a lens bothers your eye, that visit is billed to medical insurance.
We tell you the fee before the visit starts and give you a written estimate on request.
